The Distinguished Speaker Series is designed to bring to LSU the top scholars in the IS field. The goal of the series is to stimulate basic collaborative research in IS and to expose junior faculty and PhD students to the research leaders of the field. It was initiated in the late fall of 2002 and continued into the current academic year. The following distinguished scholars have visited to date:

These outstanding individuals typically come on a Thursday afternoon and spend all day Friday meeting with faculty, presenting research papers and interacting with PhD students. To this point, the series has produced outstanding results in developing innovative research initiatives and joint inter-university projects. An additional three speakers are planned for the spring of 2003.
